Van Tour of Community Service Agencies
The Homeless Coalition of Fort Wayne took the van tour of community service agencies yesterday, November 20th.
Tomi Cardin, of Redemption House Ministries, orchestrated the tour which was designed to inform the community about the agencies in Fort Wayne working to serve the homeless.
IPFW Community Service Fair
The Homeless Coalition of Fort Wayne participated in the IPFW Community Service Fair on 19 November. Below are a few of our photos from the event.
The event, which was designed to inform the student body of both the benefits and opportunities available, brought together non-profits and faith-based organizations from around Fort Wayne.
National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week Kickoff
Fort Wayne kicked off National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week with a press conference on the lawn of the Allen County Courthouse today at noon. Agencies that served the homeless, interested citizens, and government officials came together to mark the start of a week full of events designed to bring awareness to a very real issue in our community.

National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week Kickoff
The Homeless Coalition of Fort Wayne, along with many other agencies that serve the homeless, will be on the courthouse lawn tomorrow (November 18th) at noon for a press conference with the mayor.
Look for us on TV, or better yet, come down and meet the great people from the non-profits and faith-based services that span Fort Wayne and get involved by volunteering your time.
Flu Shot Clinic at Hope Alive
The Homeless Coalition of Fort Wayne, Inc. held a community flu shot clinic on-site at Hope Alive on Wednesday, November 6th. Staff, clients, and other community members stopped by to participate.

Sleep-in-Your-Car Event at University of Saint Francis
The Homeless Coalition of Fort Wayne participated in the University of Saint Francis homeless & hungriness awareness campaign. The goal of the overnighting in the north-campus parking lot was to raise awareness. Following a field trip to the Rescue Mission, students participated in reading of literature by homeless authors, watching ‘Homeless to Harvard – The Liz Murray story’ and then spending a cold night in their cars, without heat.
