About Us
Founded on June 1st, 2013, The Homeless Coalition of Fort Wayne, Inc., doing business as FortWayne.Education in Fort Wayne, Indiana and as Lifetime.Education in Detroit, MI, and Boston, MA is an educational 501(c)3 non-profit that serves those impacted by homelessness, poverty, mental illness, and substance abuse through free specialized classes and tutoring at partner sites throughout Fort Wayne, Indiana, Detroit, Michigan, and Boston, Massachusetts.
Our Method
We believe we can all do more when we work together. This is why the Homeless Coalition of Fort Wayne, Inc. was founded and operates based completely on partnerships. We are a volunteer-based organization that takes education to our clients, wherever they are, free of charge.
Why We Started
Prior to founding the Homeless Coalition of Fort Wayne, Inc. Dmitriy Usher served as an AmeriCorps*VISTA member working in literacy based non-profits and federal anti-poverty initiatives. There, he discovered his passion for service.
Staffing
The Homeless Coalition of Fort Wayne, Inc. is closed for business. At the time of closing, the Board of Directors consisted of Dmitriy Usher - Board President, Tina Linker - Treasurer, Alex Usher - Secretary of the Board, and Jason Linker - Board Member. The Homeless Coalition/Lifetime.Education thanks its wonderful Volunteer family for their service.
